RARE ORIGINAL 1934 ILLUSTRATED THIRD REICH BOOK ABOUT FORCED STERILIZATION OF MENTALLY ILL

AND HANDICAPPED MEN AND WOMEN IN NAZI GERMANY

‘ZUR VERHÜTUNG ERBKRANKEN NACHWUCHSES’

(To Prevent Hereditary Diseased Offspring)

THE NAZI TRIED TO PREVENT BY LAW THE SPREAD OF HEREDITARY DISEASE BY FORCED STERILIZATION

OF THOSE WHO DID NOT MEET THE NAZI STANDARDS

This 7 x 10 inch hardcover book in very good condition with original dust jacket was written by a group of doctors and published in 1934 by J.F. Lehmanns Verlag in Munich. On 280 very interesting pages with several tables, charts and illustrations it explains like no other book we have seen how the National Socialists regulated the interruption of the pregnancy and sterilization of those women who could give birth to hereditary diseased children! Shortly after this book came out the Nazi law that prevented that mentally ill or otherwise disabled children would be born (and cause a financial and racial problem for the rest of the German population) was passed on 18 July 1935. Based on this law the “Euthanasia” program was launched in the Third Reich.
