Offered for sale is a nice copy of the
RARE EXCELLENT ORIGINAL THIRD REICH STEREOSCOPY PHOTO BOOK
ABOUT THE ‘CAPITAL OF THE NAZI MOVEMENT’
MÜNCHEN – DIE HAUPTSTADT DER BEWEGUNG
THE SCARCE BOOK IS COMPLETE WITH ALL STEREOSCOPY PICTURES AND THE ORIGINAL 3D VIEWER
This 8-1/2 X 12 inch hard cover book was published in 1937, it contains 100 photographs in stereoscopy by Adolf Hitler’s personal photographer and ‘Reichsbildberichterstatter’ Prof. Heinrich Hoffmann. The book comes with the original, collapsible viewer which, if you look through it at the photos, it makes the photos appear three-dimensional! The pictures and the viewer are stored in compartments inside the front and back covers. This makes the covers quite thick and accordingly heavy and therefore many of these stereoscopy books that survived are damaged. Not so this excellent copy, it is in very good condition.
München – Hauptstadt der Bewegung (Munich – Capital of the Movement). There are entirely different versions of this album, each containing a different set of images. The first version is the one sought after. Neither version is explicitly labeled as such; however, a key distinguishing feature is the numbering. The first version uses large, hand-drawn-style numbers, while the second version features small, printed numbers. Offered here is the rare first version, complete with all pictures and the collapsible viewer in excellent condition, which depicts all the locations from the earliest days of the Nazi movement – the so called ‘Frühe Kampfzeit’!
The sought-after book will make a great asset to anyone’s collection of rare original historical Third Reich artifacts! The book currently is in transit from Europe, please allow approx. 10 additional days for delivery.
