LOT OF THE FIRST 22 POSTWAR 1945 ISSUES NUREMBERG TRIAL GERMAN NEWSPAPERS
‘NÜRNBERGER NACHRICHTEN’
THE FIRST 22 OUT OF 23 NEWSPAPERS AUTHORIZED BY THE ALLIES,
MOSTLY DEALING WITH THE NUREMBERG NAZI TRIALS
Offered here are almost all issues of the first year of publication of the postwar newspaper in Nuremberg that was authorized by the Allies to be published. Even though there are also other articles, mostly on how to get everything working again in destroyed Germany, the most focus is on the Nuremberg Trials where the main Nazis that were still alive had to answer for their crimes. Offered here are issues #1 thru #19 and #21 thru #23 from 11 October 1945 to 29 December 1945. Only issue #22 is missing. All 22 issues are complete but some show damage along the edges. Each issue contains interesting articles about the Trials, i.e. Dr. Ley’s suicide in his cell, how survivors described the last days in Hitler’s bunker in Berlin, that Göring lost some weight, what Hess was saying, etc. – very interesting very early postwar material about the Nuremberg Trials (just on time for the upcoming movie of the same title with Russell Crowe!).
