SS-Unterscharführer Hans Stark was one of the most brutal of all SS men in Auschwitz. It is said that he killed all arriving Jews who also had the name Stark immediately, drowned newborn babies, burned other inmates alive, participated in executions on a regular basis and took part in the first gassings.
