ORIGINAL 1937 / 1939 / 1940 GERMAN HEER (INFANTRY) YEARBOOKS

The 7 x 9-1/2 inch, 186-page hardcover books were published by order of the Oberkommando des Heeres (High Command of the Infantry) by Verlag Breitkopf and Haertel in Leipzig. The yearbook series was started in 1937, each book is full of very interesting information pertaining the German Heer, new equipment, vehicles, strategies, war photographs (in the 1939 and onward editions) and much more! The Forewords are written by the Oberbefehlshaber des Heeres (Commander of the Infantry), Generaloberst von Brauchitsch (by Generaloberst Freiherr von Fritsch in the 1937 edition). The same kind of yearbooks were also published for the Luftwaffe (German Air Force) and for the Kriegsmarine (KM or Nazi Navy). This lot includes the heavily illustrated volumes 1937, 1939 and 1940. All three are in good to very good condition, the 1939 volume has some stain spots but comes with its original dust cover.
