This wonderful 4-1/2 x 6-3/4 inches soft cover book is definitely a keeper for anyone interested in German automobile, transportation, Reichsautobahn, etc. history! The book is in excellent condition and has 460 heavily illustra-ted pages on the technical components of cars, trucks and motorcycles, how they need to be maintained, fixed and safely operated on public roads, including the Reichsautobahn. There are 260 illustrations plus 11 full color tables in this book, also a chapter (with 56 blue pages towards the end of the book) with ALL questions and answers from the test every German had to pass in the late 1930s in order to receive his/her drivers license! Another chapter lists important laws which apply to motorized vehicle operation in the public. Last but not least there are some very interesting automobile advertisings in this very comprehensive book.
It was written by Ad. König, a civil engineer and well known automobile expert in Berlin at that time. It was printed 1938 by Schmidt & Co in Berlin and is in very good condition.
This scarce book is a wonderful reference guide and a real asset for every collection of Third Reich automobilia history!
