This outstanding encyclopedia was published by Bibliographisches Institut in Leipzig, Germany. It was originally intended to publish twelve volumes but only nine volumes plus one atlas volume were published by 1942 when the project was put on hold because of the war. That is why the encyclopedia stops at the letter “s” and the set that is offered for sale here is to be considered a complete set. A one-of-a-kind reference for anyone interested in Third Reich history! There is a good reason why this encyclopedia was nicknamed The Brown Meyer, brown standing for the Nazi era because no other Third Reich encyclopedia contained so much information about Adolf Hitler, the Nazi Party, its many suborganizations, its flags, awards, etc. than this excellent book set! Volume 12 is the Atlas (Map Book). This volume was published in 1936 already and was supposed to be the last volume of this encyclopedia but because of the outbreak of the war in 1939 only the first nine volumes of the encyclopedia and the Atlas volume were published. This ten-volume book set that is offered here is a complete set, even though volumes 10 and 11 are missing!
All ten volumes are in nice condition and will make a great reference for every historian or collector of rare original Third Reich material!
