TWELVE ORIGINAL 1943 ISSUES OF THE SOUGHT-AFTER OFFICIAL SS / NAZI POLICE PERIODICAL

“DIE DEUTSCHE POLIZEI”

HEAVILY ILLUSTRATED WITH REPORTS ON ALL BRANCHES OF THE THIRD REICH POLICE,

WITH GREAT EMPHASIS ON ‘BANDENKAMPF’, THE HUNT FOR PARTISANS

The 9 x 12 inch, 40-page magazines were the official periodical for Policemen of all branches in Third Reich Germany. They were published twice a month by the “Kameradschaftsbund Deutscher Polizeibeamte” (Fellowship Association of German Police Officials) in cooperation with the “Reichsbund der Deutschen Beamten” (Reich Association of German Civil Servants). It was first published on 1 September 1933 entitled ‘Der Deutsche Polizeibeamte’, later the title was changed into “Die Deutsche Polizei” (around 1937/1938). Each issue if filled with well-illustrated reports from all branches of the Nazi German Police. After SS Leader Heinrich Himmler was also appointed Chief of the German Police on June 17, 1936 he was also in control of this periodical, even though it was still published by the “Kameradschaftsbund”. The 1943 issues that are offered here are especially interesting and even more sought-after than the prewar issues, not only because of the now great cover photos and illustrations but also because of the content: many articles are reports from the front lines where SS / Police units were heavily involved in the ‘Bandenkampf’, hunting down and eliminating partisans. There are also many anti-Jewish articles, the death of SS general Eicke at the front lines, the promotion of Kaltenbrunner and much more. Each issue is illustrated throughout and in very nice condition.
