VERY RARE ORIGINAL DUTCH ANTI-JEW SIGN
‘VOOR JODEN VERBODEN’
THESE SIGNS BANNED JEWS FROM PUBLIC PLACES IN GERMAN OCCUPIED HOLLAND
FULL MONEY BACK GURANTEE FOR AUTHENTICITY
This cardboard Dutch anti-Semitic sign reads ‘VOOR JODEN VERBODEN’ and was found during a renovation in the city of Amsterdam, Holland. In 1941, Jews in the Netherlands were banned from most public places like parks, pools, and museums. These “Voor Joden Verboden” (Forbidden for Jews) signs became very common around towns and cities throughout the country. They were attached to buildings, gates, in buses and train cars and lamp posts. Of course, very few of these survived after the German occupation had ended. A few of these have surfaced over the years but we have never seen one in such great condition. This one is near mint! This is a true museum piece that very few collectors and museums own. A great chance to get this awesome piece of history of the Holocaust. The size is roughly 10-1/2 x 7 inches.
