Late war (21 May 1944) Passierschein (permit to grant passage) from SS Labor camp Neu-Dachs (sub camp of Auschwitz) signed by SS-Untersturmführer Bruno Pfütze who was commander of this brutal sub camp where inmates had to work under harshest conditions mining coal. From 1938 on he was member of the Totenkopf Division and from 1940 on he served in the Police in the Generalgouvernement. In late 1940 he was transferred to Auschwitz concentration camp where he participated in executions of inmates, followed by becoming commander of the Gypsy camp in Auschwitz-Birkenau. He then received training to become a SS leader and was then returned to Auschwitz, where he became commander of the SS labor camp and Auschwitz sub camp Neu-Dachs. After the ‘evacuation’ of Auschwitz in January 1945 he became commander of the SS Guard Battalion of Mysen concentration camp near Oslo, Norway. He died there in 1945, probably in combat.
