A rare and sought after original Third Reich poster as they were plastered on walls and ‘Litfass-Säulen (large, cylindrical announcement boards that were all over Germany), announcing the first Nazi mass event in northern Germany, hosted by the Gau Leadership of Kiel. 60,000 SS, SA and NSKK men were scheduled to participate in a call-up, parades, paramilitary competitions, etc.! The poster depicts a SS man, a SA Stormtrooper and NSKK man with the Nazi flag in the background, symbolizing the rising sun. The size of this rarity is 800 x 600mm or 31-1/2 x 23-1/2 inches and we have never seen another. Since this was a local event, this poster probably was circulated only in the northern part of Germany, in and around the city of Kiel, where it was also printed. The artist of the name Fischer also came from Kiel. Very few of such original posters have survived because they were either glued on a wall someplace or destroyed during or after the war. We don’t know of a second original to be known anywhere. A rare historic artifact that will look great when framed. The back has some repair spots which won’t show once framed.
