(JEWS INTRODUCE THEMSELVES)

PUBLISHED BY JULIUS STREICHER’S STÜRMER PUBLISHING HOUSE

Offered for sale is a nice copy of an extremely anti-Semitic rarity, published in 1934 by Julius Streichers Stürmer publishing company. The anti-Jewish periodical “Der Stürmer” (The Attacker) employed a cartoonist who presented the Jew in his cartoons like nobody else did. His name was Philipp Rupprecht. His penname was Fips and he created the stereotype of the Nazi-Jew: unshaven, with a big and buckled nose, mean looking eyes (often with thick glasses). Depending which kind of Jews he drew, they were either dirty, wearing filthy clothes or fat with fancy clothes. He worked for Julius Streicher until the last issue of the Stürmer, which was published on February 22, 1945. He also made the caricatures for the anti-Semitic children’s book “Der Giftpilz” (“The Poisonous Mushroom”), which was published in 1938 by the Stürmer publishing house. During a short period in 1939 Fips was a member of the Kriegsmarine but probably because of his Nazi propaganda value he was released from the Navy.

This book here presents a selection of full page Fips caricatures, all of them show the Jew in the most unpleasant way. The Preface is written by Fips’ employer, Julius Streicher, who cannot praise enough how much Fips contributes to the “battle against the Jews”!

Some sources say that this book was intended to be a coloring book for kids! We cannot prove this but there is a possibility that this statement is correct.
