Offered here is by far one of the rarest of all books that were published by Prof. Heinrich Hoffmann! He was the Photoberichterstatter der Reichsleitung der NSDAP – (official photographer of the NSDAP Reich Leadership) and in this position also Adolf Hitler’s personal photographer. It is said that he took about two million(!) photos of the Führer. Some of the best photos he used in a series of books on Adolf Hitler that he had published shortly before and during the Third Reich. They are all 7 x 10-inch books, usually contain around 100 pages and are all heavily illustrated. It is lesser known that Hoffmann also published a number of books that were Nazi Party related but not specificly on Adolf Hitler. One of them is this photo book on Germany’s Axis Ally, Japan. The copy offered for sale in good used condition is a first edition of which only 25,000 copies were made. We are not sure if there even was a second edition of this extremely rare book. The book also contains a photo report of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor which the Nazis of course hailed as a tremendous Japanese victory. A great addition for every collection of historical Third Reich material and a must-have for everyone who collects Prof. Heinrich Hoffmann books.
