This sought after and extremely interesting periodical was issued once a month by order of the Reichsführer-SS and head of the German Police Heinrich Himmler and published by his deputy, head of the Sicherheitspolizei, Gruppenführer Reinhard Heydrich. Each magazine contained new legislations and laws, all kinds of crimes from bigamy to violent murder, court decisions, forensic evidence, examples of forgeries as well as new developed technology to bring criminals to justice. The collection also contains articles about Jewish crimes in the Litzmannstadt Ghetto, gang related crimes in the United States and about the legendary German Sass brothers. Single issues of this hard-to-find SS/Police publication sell for high prices if they surface (we have seen single copies sell for $150.00 and more). Here is the unique opportunity to get all 60(!) issues of the years 1938, 1939,1940, 1941 and 1942 bound in five original volumes! Their size is 190 x 263mm or 7-1/2 x 10-3/8 inches and each volume (year) has between 140 and 288 pages with many illustrations. All five volumes were originally part of the library of the Police headquarters in Augsburg. Since they were not discarded in 1945 (Thank God), some of the SS eagles and SS runes are covered up because it was no longer legal to openly display them after May of 1945. Currently there is not one volume (complete year) of this sought after publication offered for sale anywhere and OD43 is for sure the only place (other than the German Nationalbibliothek or the American Library of Congress) having five complete years – and they can become part of your collection!
