The 9-1/4 x 11 inch, 78 page hardcover book was written by RAD Leader Wilhelm Schlaghecke and published in 1937 by Bechthold Verlagsbuch-handlung in Frankfurt/Main. It contains 80 photographs of new built Reich Labor Service lodges and barracks throughout the German Reich. Depending on the location they were built in the typical style of the region to blend in and be in harmony with the nature. There is a several pages long appendix in which all pictures are explained, where they were taken and to which Reich Labor Service unit the buildings belonged. A very interesting book in excellent condition. The only imperfection is that the first (blank) page has been carefully cut out, probably containing a dedication which the former owner did not find appropriate anymore after 1945.
