FULL MONEY BACK GUARANTEE FOR AUTHENTICITY
Interesting Ahnenerbe item showing the artistic and craftsmanship of the early Aryans. Beautifully hand carved pair of Dutch clogs showing Sonnenrads among other details. Both are carved with “Hland Marken” being an abbreviation for Holland Marken. The area in which they were crafted. Marken (a small island in the Netherlands) and its inhabitants were the focus of considerable attention by folklorists, ethnologists and physical anthropologists who regarded the small fishing town as a relic of the traditional native culture. Thus getting the attention of the Ahnenerbe. The clogs are accompanied by a small trophy made of burl wood with a silver plaque engraved “Klompen 1937 Hakon-Astrid” Translates to “Clog Competition Hakon and Astrid”. This grouping came from an Ahnenerbe museum display in the town of Dithmarschen in extreme northern Germany (Schleswig-Holstein). Excellent overall condition.
The SS-Ahnenerbe Museum closed its doors for good when the Third Reich ended in May of 1945.
We have a few other unique original SS-Ahnenerbe items listed that also came from the Ahnenerbe Museum – please make sure to check them out, too!
