RARE ORIGINAL ANTI-SEMITIC POSTER BY STUERMERVERLAG

This rare 12 x 17 inch poster, published by Julius Streicher’s anti-Semitic Stürmer Publishing House is a collage of 11 photographs of smiling Jewish people. The text reads: ‘Wenn Juden lachen – Die Juden sind geborene Verbrecher. Sie können nicht frei und offen lachen. Ihr Gesicht verzieht sich lediglich zu einem teuflischen Grinsen. (When Jews laugh – Jews are born criminals. They cannot laugh freely and openly. Their face is merely distorted into a diabolic grin.). This poster was published in two versions, one with red letters and advertising issue #11 of the anti-Semitic newspaper ‘Der Stürmer’ and one in black and white with no advertising.
