RARE ORIGINAL 1944(!) PHOTOBOOK GERMAN PARATROOPERS OVER CRETE

The 8 x 10-1/4 inch, 150-page hardcover book with 138 photos was published in 1944 by Stalling Verlag in Oldenburg, Germany. Even though published late in the war, the publisher used high quality paper. The book has been rebound, using the original front and back covers. Crete is an island in the Mediterranean Sea which was of great strategic importance for the British and the Germans and German paratroopers (Fallschirmjäger) conquered the island in 1941/42. RARE
