This rare and heavily illustrated 150-page soft cover book in good condition comes with its original but damaged dust jacket. It was published in 1941 by the NSDAP Central Publishing House in Munich. The only text in this book is a foreword by Gunter D’Alquen, a prominent SS war reporter after September 1939 and towards the end of the war appointed by Himmler as head of the armed forces propaganda department. The entire book consists of excellent full page and even double page photos, showing Waffen-SS in action during the campaign in the West. The many close-up photos by SS war correspondent Friedrich Zschackel are fantastic reference material for anyone interested in SS uniforms, weapons, field gear and vehicles! This is a very fine copy of the 1941 original, not the 2006 reprint.
