Offered for sale is this rare original 1937 document, sent from Buchenwald concentration camp to the Gestapo office in Weimar (the town close to Buchenwald), signed by the camp commandant (at the time) SS-Obersturm-bannführer Karl-Otto Koch. In the document Koch lists from which parts of Germany inmates are to be transported to Buchenwald, following an order of Reichsführer-SS Heinrich Himmler. Koch and his wife Ilse committed crimes in Buchenwald, such as stealing from murdered inmates, killing of inmates to cover up his crimes, etc. that were too much even for Himmler and Koch, his wife Ilse as well as the so called ‘Hangman of Buchenwald’, Martin Sommer were put on trial and Karl-Otto Koch died in front of a SS firing squad on 5 April 1945, one week before the camp was liberated by the Americans.
