Offered for sale is one of the best original Third Reich photo books on the REICHSPARTEITAG GROSSDEUTSCHLAND 1938(Reich Party Days Greater Germany 1938). This huge heavily illustrated book was the official documentation of the Reich Party Days 1938. The Nazis were masters in creating mass ceremonies to show the world the strength and power of Nazi Germany. Every Reichsparteitag had a motto, the 1938 motto was PARTEITAG GROSSDEUTSCHLAND (Greater Germany).
These were the last Reich Party Days on the huge Party Day Grounds in Nürnberg (Nuremberg) that are described in amazing detail in the book offered here. The next Reich Party Days (ironically entitled: Parteitag des Friedens / Party Days Of Peace) were postponed until after the end of the war and of course never took place.
The size of this book is 9 x 11-1/2 inch (230x295mm) with 410 very interesting pages. The book is full of excellent photos of the biggest Nazi mass event in 1938, some of them are full page photographs. The scarce book is in very good condition, the binding is tight and there are no pages missing or damaged. The only flaw is a damage at the bottom corner of the spine (see photo).
The 1938 volume is by far the hardest volume to find!
