SKU: K192 Category:

This wonderful 8-3/4 x 9-1/4 inch, 96-page hard cover photo book was published in 1936 by Volk und Reich Verlag in Berlin. The book was published by order of the Reich Committee for Tourist Traffic and sold mostly to foreign tourists coming to Germany in 1936 on occasion of the XI. Olympic Games, held in Berlin. The book has very little text but excellent photo material on every page. The book’s intention was to show how the new Germany is blooming again, after only three years under National Socialist leadership. Shown are the new order in Germany, new housing developments for German workers, Labor Service, Reichsautobahn, the new strong German military, youth that finally has a future again in Germany, the importance of the intact German family and much more. Germany was by far the country in Europe where the most drastic changes for the better for the people were happening, and many tourists surely must have been impressed experiencing this new, strong Germany. Of course it does not mention Jews at all in this book.
