This rare 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inch, 156 page hardcover book photo book by Arnold Littmann was published in 1934 by Traditionsverlag in Berlin. The book tells the story of a group of Hitler Youth boys who lived in the so called “BEUSSELKIETZ”, a part of Berlin in the district Tiergarten, not far from the Brandenburg Gate where mostly poor workers lived and which always has been a communist controlled part of Berlin. Of course the HJ group that is subject of this book had a hard time in the so called “Kampfjahre” (fight years) and so it happened that the 15 year old Herbert Norkus was killed by a group of communists! Herbert became a martyr after the 1933 election when the NSDAP and Hitler were elected and a SA Honor Guard saluted at his grave. Herbert was one of the youngest victims and martyrs of the Nazi movement.
