Textbook Heer painted metal buckle with tab, retaining small remnants of the original field-applied paint on the front surface. This metal buckle shows scattered wear and expected paint loss along the raised elements, yet the central emblem remains clearly defined. The original pin assembly and roller bar with prongs are in good working order. The Reverse of the buckle shows a large amount of original paint. Clearly marked, ESL (E. Schneider – Lüdenscheid) 41 for year near integral catch as shown. Tab is marked but not legible, but we do see a forty-one on leather. Nice, honest buckle for your consideration.
