Beautiful wrought iron candle holder showing the “Irminsul” motif so favored by the SS. This particular example came from an Ahnenerbe museum display in the town of Dithmarschen in extreme northern Germany (Schleswig-Holstein). Excellent overall condition. This is the type of item that would have been displayed in the Jul-Ecke (SS Corner) along with the Julleuchter, Jul-Teller, Sippentruhe, etc.

The SS-Ahnenerbe Museum closed its doors for good when the Third Reich ended in May of 1945.
