The back cover depicts the Tank Destruction Badge, awarded for the single-handed destruction of an enemy tank. For the destruction of five tanks a gold version was awarded. Approx. 18,500 silver and 500 gold badges were awarded.

The heavily illustrated llustrated manual for close combat against tanks was published in 1944 by the OKH (Oberkommando des Heeres or High Command of the Army). 24 pages with a tank destruction badge to the reverse cover. The size of this rarity is 115 x 165mm or 4-1/2 x 6-1/2 inch. The binding is tight and there is no damage to any of the pages. Extremely rare. The Tank Destruction Badge (German: Sonderabzeichen für das Niederkämpfen von Panzerkampfwagen durch Einzelkämpfer) was a World War II German military decoration awarded to individuals of the Wehrmacht who had single-handedly destroyed an enemy tank or an armored combat vehicle using a hand-held weapon. Anti-tank units were ineligible for this award.
