COLLECTION OF ORIGINAL 1936-56 SCHOOL MOVIE SUPPLEMENTS IN ORIGINAL WOODEN BOX

‘BEIHEFTE DER REICHSSTELLE FÜR DEN UNTERRICHTSFILM’

The original wooden box is 400 x 270 x 180mm or 15-3/4 x 10-5/8 x 7 inches, handmade (dovetailed by hand) around 1935 and contains 230(!) supplements of educational movies that were shown in German schools between 1935 and 1956. The movies were about nature, farming, trades, technology, etc. and this box once belonged to the ‘Schule an der Fürstenstr. / Stadtbildstelle Kempten‘. The ownership note that is glued onto the inside of the lid says that the collection was started in March of 1938, obviously survived the war and was still used and expanded until 1956 in postwar West Germany. An interesting collection in very nice condition and certainly something you don’t see every day.
