Original 4-page document in DIN A4 size (comparable to 8 x 11-1/2’’), dated 16 March 1943, typed in the Abteilungsgefechtsstand at the front lines and signed twice(!) by a famous member of the Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler (LSSAH), Abteilungskommandeur, SS-Obersturmbannführer Kurt “Panzermeyer” Meyer. Meyer recommends SS-Obersturmführer Hermann Weiser, commander of the 2nd Aufklärungs-Abteilung Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler for the Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross and gives a four pages long explanation why Weiser deserves this prestigious award, listing all his brave actions and all the enemy weapons destroyed or captured. Two nice and strong ink signatures by the hand of one of the best-known members of the LSSAH.
