Offered for sale is this 1944 dated DIN A4 letter, signed by the the commander of Sicherheitspolizei and SD in Prague, SS-Standartenführer Dr. Erwin Weinmann. The letter is addressed to the SS-Personalamt in Berlin and Dr. Weinmann gives his current address, SS rank and SS number, signed in ink.
SS-Standartenführer Dr. Erwin Weinmann was a German physician, SS leader, head of RSHA Gruppe IV D (occupied territories), then commanded Sonderkommando 4a which was responsible for mass murder in the Ukraine and from summer of 1942 on he was Chief of the Sicherheitspolizei (SiPo) and SD in Prague. He was never captured and probably escaped to the Middle East.
