Offered for sale is this rare original document, signed by SS-Hauptsturmführer Siegfried Seidl. He was under Adolf Eichmann’s command in RSHA Department IVB4, he established the Theresienstadt ghetto and concentration camp and from Nov. 1941 to July 1943 Seidl served as the ghetto’s commandant. After that he became commandant of Bergen-Belsen concentration camp and in 1944 he was part of the Sondereinsatzkommando Eichmann that was in charge of rounding up the Hungarian Jews and sending most of them to Auschwitz, nearly half a million within less than two months. He was tried in postwar Austria and executed for war crimes. In the document, dated 2 September 1944 he gives his current and home address. He was in Hungary at the time, rounding up Jews.
