SS-Brigadeführer Dr. Eberhard Schöngarth was head of the Sicherheitspolizei and SD in occupied Holland, a participant of the infamous Wannsee Conference and initiator of numerous massacres who was hanged in 1946. He writes to the SS- und Personalhauptamt in Berlin, giving his current address in German occupied Holland. The document is dated 23 October 1944.
