Offered for sale is this rare original document, signed by SS-Hauptsturmführer Dieter Wisliceny. WHe joined the Nazi Party in 1933 and enlisted in the SS in 1934. From April 1937 to November 1937 he was head of the ‘Judenreferat’ in the SD-Hauptamt. By recommendation of is superior, Adolf Eichmann, he became the liaison of RSHA Referat IV B4 (Judenreferat) in Bratislava where he assisted the Slovakian government as a specialist for ‘Jewish Affairs’. In February of 1943 Wisliceny was transferred to Greece, together with Alois Brunner, where he commanded the ‘Sonderkommando für Judenangelegenheiten. Tens of thousands of Greek Jews were rounded up under his command and sent to Auschwitz-Birkenau. In March of 1944 he arrived in Hungary as a member of the ‘Sonderkommando Eichmann’ which sent more than 400,000 Hungarian Jews to Auschwitz, in only seven months. Wisliceny was arrested in Austria in May of 1945. He was an important witness at the Nuremberg trials. His testimony would later prove important in the successful prosecution of Eichmann for his complicity in the Holocaust in Israel in 1961. Wisliceny was extradited to Czechoslovakia, where he was tried and hanged for war crimes in 1948.
