Dr. Johannes Friedrich Rogge (1898 – 1983) first studied sciences before dedicating himself to the fine arts from 1922 onwards. In spite of the critical acclaim he gained at the Berlin art exhibition he received no assignments and was forced to close his studio. His bust of Hitler 1938 brought his first success and was succeeded by further requests to make busts of Rosenberg, Ludendorff, Telschow, Hauptmann & Goering.
