This is the rare original pre-1945 Japanese version of Mein Kampf. This book has a unique binding. It is divided into volume 1 and volume 2. The translator of this book is “Manabe Ryoichi”. He was an expert on German and a translator. He was also working for Japan Ministry of Foreign Affairs. When the Hitler Youth visited Japan, he acted as an interpreter. He was neither a national socialist nor a radical far-right. However, after Japan’s defeat in World War II, he was imprisoned as a war criminal in Sugamo Prison (the prison where HIDEKI TOJO and others were imprisoned). The rare books are in very nice condition and come in their original slipcases (which show some signs or wear).

Mein Kampf was translated into numerous languages and since Japan was Hitler-Germany’s ally, it was only natural that a Japanese edition would be published. Very few of the surviving Japanese editions have ever left Japan and come up for sale or have even survived at all.
