The 9-3/4 x 10-1/4 inch, 300 page hardcover book by Friedrich Heiss was first published in 1934 by Volk Und Reich Verlag in Berlin. Offered for sale is a nice copy of the 5th edition (31. – 55. Tausend). The book deals about the horrible living and working conditions in Germany after World War One, how Germany had to suffer because of the unfair Treaty of Versailles which determined the outrageous war reparations Germany was forced to pay until Hitler came to power. The author explains in great detail what improvements had been made in the first year alone since the Nazi party came to power. The book is heavily illustrated with 320 photos, plus maps and statistics. The book is in good con-dition, the binding is tight, there is no damage to any of the pages. The only imperfection are some stain spots on the first (blank) pages.
