Rudolf Hess signed book: ‘Der Flieger Und Sein Flugzeug’ (‘The Aviator And His Plane’), published in 1916(!) by C.J.E. Volckmann Nachf. in Berlin. 190pp. 8vo., paperback. An early signature of Hess is seen at the top left of the first pastedown, the earliest we’ve seen, pre- 1920. Light wear to the covers, else very good to fine. This personal item has been carried down through the Hess family over the years and has been consigned to us by a direct descendent of Rudolf Hess.
