SET OF ORIGINAL 1936 OLYMPIC WINTER + SUMMER GAMES ALBUMS
DIE OLYMPISCHEN SPIELE 1936
Both 9-1/2 x 12-1/2 inch albums, each complete with about 200 pictures, were published by Cigaretten-Bilderdienst Altona-Bahrenfeld in Germany and are in very good condition. They come with their original dust jackets (one damaged) and slipcases and it is safe to say that this set is one of the most comprehensive Nazi German publications about the 1936 Olympic Games. The Winter Games took place in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and the Summer Games were held in Hitler’s Berlin and turned into a big propaganda event. Volume one deals about the winter games plus a preview to the summer games. Volume two is about the summer games in Berlin.
