Offered for sale is this 7 x 9-3/4 inch, 240-page hardcover book in excellent condition by Ernst Dietz. It was published in 1944 in Vienna, and that makes this book so interesting: it is still printed on high-quality paper when there were shortages everywhere and late war publications were usually printed on paper of lesser quality, let alone the subject matter. The Allies made their way up from Italy and in Normandy and the Russians were advancing in the east. Who would have had an interest in a photo book (which is very interesting by the way) about Iranian art?!
