RARE ORIGINAL 1941 THIRD REICH PHONEBOOK OF KIEL & SURROUNDINGS
AMTLICHES FERNSPRECHBUCH KIEL 1941
This 8-1/2 x 11-3/4 inch, 292 page book was the official phonebook for the city of Kiel and surrounding communities in the most northern part of Germany. It comes with the 1942 and 1943 supplements, containing changes and additions. It has all important phone numbers of the city of Kiel, as well as Flensburg, the town close to the Danish border where Karl Dönitz ‘governed’ for the last three weeks of the Third Reich, succeeding Adolf Hitler. You can also call up the church in the village Grossenbrode in Ostholstein where Reinhard Heydrich got married. The phonebook shows minimal signs of wear but is complete and the binding is tight. Few of these have survived, most were either destroyed in the last two years of the war or gave a little bit of heat for someone in the harsh winter of 1945.
