Offered for sale is this rare original 1938 document, sent from Buchenwald concentration camp to the Rasse- und Siedlungshauptamt (RSSHA), signed by SS-Unterscharführer Martin Sommer. Martin Sommer was a similar savage as Lorenz Hackenholt. His nickname was the ‘Hangman of Buchenwald’ and he reportedly committed acts of brutality and sadism that was even too much for Himmler and he was put on trial, together with Karl and Ilse Koch. He was demoted and sent to the Russian front where he lost an arm and a leg. He stood trial in West Germany in the late 1950s, was sentenced to life and died in a German prison hospital.
