RARE EARLY ‘KAMPFZEIT’ PERIOD ‘CHROMOLITHOGRAPH’ PORTRAIT OF HERMANN GOERING

This hard to find original 220 x 290mm or 8-1/2 x 11-1/2 inch ‘Kampfzeit’ period portrait of Hermann Göring from around 1930 is done on wood in what we believe the chromolithograph technique, where the printing is direct onto a piece of plywood and then sealed, probably using a heating process, giving the effect as if the portrait has been painted on wood. The back is plain wood without any surface treatment. There is also a brass hanger at the top. The facial expression is amazing and the picture draws you in.
