RARE 1942 THIRD REICH WAR PHOTO BOOK FROM SERBIA TO CRETE

This seldom seen 8 x 11 inch, 200-page soft cover book published by the propaganda unit of the Wehrmacht was printed in 1942 by a printer in Athens, Greece that employed German speaking setters and who published the first German book in Greece during the war. On the last page it is explained under which difficult circumstances this book was made and that the lack of skilled workers and the inferior material available in Greece affected the quality of the pictures. It is also mentioned that the book was never available in any bookstore but probably a remembrance book for those who fought the battles that are given back in this book.
