American-born, Anglo-Irish Fascist politician and Nazi propaganda broadcaster to the United Kingdom during World War II. He took German citizenship in 1940. He was convicted of one count of high treason in 1945 and was sentenced to death by hanging. “Twilight Over England“, (Internationaler Verlag in Berlin), 1940. First edition in light brown cloth with red titles, 168pp. 8vo. Stunning copy, rarely seen with the original orange wrap around. The highlight of course is that the author gifted this copy to the son of the former German Reich Chancellor von Bülow in June of 1940. The book itself in this edition is very rare, and the dedication and signature make it even more unique and desirable.
William Joyce is one of the most interesting/fascinating Anglo-American figures of the Nazi era, all the way up to his execution.
