RARE ORIGINAL 1932 1st UNAUTHORIZED JAPANESE EDITION OF HITLER’S ‘MEIN KAMPF’
USUALLY NEVER SURFACES OUTSIDE OF JAPAN
This was published in 1932, one year before Hitler came to power and is probably the first Japanese translation of Mein Kampf. It’s unclear how many copies were sold. The translator is Takaji Sakai. Japanese translations of Mein Kampf published in Japan during this period were translated and issued without the copyright holder’s authorization.
Mein Kampf was translated into numerous languages and since Japan was Hitler-Germany’s ally, it was only natural that a Japanese edition would be published. Very few of the surviving Japanese editions have ever left Japan and come up for sale or have even survived at all.
