SKU: G-737 Category:

This seldom seen 8-1/4 x 10-3/4 inch, 312 page hardcover book in very good condition by Eduard Fuchs was published in 1921 by Albert Langen Verlag in Munich. The book contains 338(!) anti-Jewish cartoons that were published in newspapers, magazines as well as on billboards in Germany and other European countries. Even though this is not a book that was published during the reign of the National Socialists it clearly shows what many Germans and the people in other European countries thought of Jewry. Every single one of the 338 cartoons depicts the Jew as an ugly creature who is unwilling to perform honest work, who is only after money and who lives like a parasite among the honest, hard working population. Anti-Semitism was widely spread in Europe in the 1920s and a lot of what happened to the Jews after the Nazi seizure of power had its roots in that time. A very interesting book that will be an asset to every collection of historical anti-Semitic material! The book is in very good condition, considering that it was published 90+ years ago! The binding is tight, the color tables are crisp and there is no damage to any of the pages.
