A rare and sought after original Third Reich poster as they were plastered on walls and ‘Litfass-Säulen (large, cylindrical announcement boards that were all over Germany), coming from the estate of an NSDAP Ortsgruppen Propaganda Leader of the name Adolf Kautz from the Karlsruhe area. Measures approximately 17 inches by 24 inches or 430 x 600mm. The poster, for sure from early 1945, is a call on the last resort of ‘fighters’ – old men, women and children who were drafted into the ‘Volkssturm’ (People’s Storm) to destroy enemy tanks with the easy to operate Panzerfaust. One of them is depicted on the poster, holding a Panzerfaust. Note the ‘Volkssturm’ cuffband on his tunic. Very few of such original posters have survived because they were either glued on a wall someplace or destroyed during or after the war. We don’t know of a second original to be known anywhere. A very rare late war historic artifact that will look great when framed.
