SS-OBERSCHARFüHRER FRANZ MURER
SS-Oberscharführer Franz Murer was one of the main figures in the annihilation of the Jewish community in Vilnius, Lithuania. He was knows for his sadism and brutality. From 1943 to 1945 he had a teaching position at the NS-Ordensburg Krössinsee. After the war he was sentenced to 25 years in a labor camp in the Soviet Union but released to Austria in 1955 where he died a free man.

In the document, dated 7 June 1943 and sent from NS-Ordensburg Krössinsee to the Reichsschatzmeister, Murer asks to issue him a party membership book to replace his green membership card.
