TO CHEER UP THE SS MEN FIGHTING AT THE FRONT LINES

In 1943 Reichsführer-SS Heinrich Himmler decided to have a humorous book published for his SS men who were fighting at the front lines, probably to distract them a bit from the blood and guts. The SS-Hauptamt in Berlin published this 6-1/2 x 9 inch, 52-page soft cover book with illustrations throughout. Size, layout and number of pages is similar to the ‘SS-Leitheft’. Probably not very many copies have survived, at least not of those that were shipped to the front lines.
