ORIGINAL 1941 THIRD REICH PHOTOBOOK ON LW ACE WERNER MOELDERS
‘MÖLDERS UND SEINE MÄNNER’
Offered for sale is this 6-1/4 x 8-3/4 inch, 128-page soft cover book by Major Fritz von Forell, published in 1941 by Verlag Scherl in Berlin. The book is a photo documentation of the life and accomplishments of the Luftwaffe Ace Werner Mölders, who flew combat missions in Spain in the Civil War, then in the western campaign and over England. Adolf Hitler awarded him the Oak Leaves to the Knights Cross after his 40th air victory. He then was transferred to the eastern front, achieving 101 air victories by mid-July 1941. Ironically, he died in a plane crash as a passenger in 1941 on his way to Berlin, where he was supposed to attend the funeral of Luftwaffe general Ernst Udet. Very nice condition.
