ORIGINAL 1941 HEAVILY ILLUSTRATED THIRD REICH WAR CHRISTMAS BOOK

This very nice 5-1/2 x7-7/8 inch, 198-page soft cover book (plus song text supplement) was published in 1941 by the central office for cultural affairs in the NSDAP, printed by the Nazi owned Central Publishing House of the NSDAP Franz Eher, Nachf. in Munich. It was published for the soldiers in the field as well as for their families at home. The preface by Dr. Joseph Goebbels makes clear that the entire nation stands behind their leader, Adolf Hitler. In 1941 this probably was not too far away from the truth, the German armed forces were victorious where ever they engaged the enemy, the economy was thriving, unemployment was almost non-existent in Germany and the majority of the German people had nothing to complain as their living conditions improved a lot. The well illustrated book in very good condition contains Christmas stories and Christmas songs.
